Trivia Answer

Answer To Trivia

Writer-director George Lucas reshaped his vision of Star Wars many times before settling on what was created for the landmark 1977 film. Initially, the main character was female. Then it became an aging general. Lucas finally settled on a young farm boy as the space opera's protagonist. His name was initially Luke Starkiller.

Apparently the Starkiller surname even made it to production. The scene were Luke first introduces himself to Leia was reportedly shot with Mark Hamill saying "I'm Luke Starkiller and I'm here to rescue you." The story says that 20th Century Fox execs didn't like the name and the scene was reshot with the Skywalker inserted instead.

A new installment in the Star Wars saga has been produced in the form of an animated movie. Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes place at the height of the titular conflict. The events occur between the live-action films Episode II and Episode III. See Luke's daddy, Anakin Skywalker, as he takes on the Separatist's droid army in this exciting new movie. It's now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
