It's Carol here again to let you know what's new at Video Magic.

We've had several good movies come in over the past two weeks and I have listed them below. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

I'm sorry that I didn't write to you last week but the week just slipped past me before I knew it.

Everyone here at the Video Magic Home Office is doing well and we are all getting ready for the upcoming Holiday Season. Hasn't the year flown by? It seems like you turn around twice and the year is gone.

I hope that you and your family are doing well.

New Releases This Week At Video Magic

Mission: Impossible III (2006)(WE Recommend)

If you liked Mission: Impossible 1 & 2 then you really need to see Mission: Impossible III. Highly action packed. I give this one a really big We Recommend.

Action Adventure

Rated: PG-13

Special Agent Ethan Hunt returns but this time he has withdrawn from active duty to focus on his personal life. Still involved with IMF as an instructor, Ethan is drawn back into the field when one of his former students is captured.

Also try: Mission: Impossible 1 & 2

Nacho Libre (We Recommend)

If you like comedy that is stupid but really funny then you need to see this one. You will laugh your tail off at this one. I give this one a really funny We Recommend.

Comedy. Rated PG.

Cook moonlights as a not-so-famous Luchador wrestler.

Starring Jack Black, Hector Jimenez, Ana de la Reguera.

Also try: Napoleon Dynamite, Kingpin

Monster House (We Recommend)

If you are looking for a really good movie to sit down and watch with the kids for Halloween, then you need to watch Monster House. I give this one a really great We Recommend.

Horror/Family. Rated PG.

A mysterious house terrorizes local kids.

Animated.

Also try: The Goonies, Casper, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

An American Haunting
(Haven't Seen Yet)

I haven't watched this movie yet. I will let you know about it next week.

Horror. Rated PG-13.

The true account of the menace known as the Bell Witch.

Starring Donald Sutherland, Sissy Spacek, Rachel Hurd-Wood.

Slither (Haven't Seen Yet)

I haven't seen this one yet but we have had a lot of request for it so I will let you know about Slither in my next newsletter.

Horror/Science Fiction. Rated R.

An evil dark force attempts to devour all life on Earth.

Starring Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Rooker.

Cook breakfast together. Pick one day this week that you are going to cook a good old country breakfast. Biscuits, Gravy, Eggs, apple butter, the works. Give each member of the family something to do to help with the breakfast cooking. This will be a fun experience for the entire family and you will get to set down to an enjoyable meal with your whole family.

Carol's Blast From The Past

Kingpin

I think this is one of the funniest movies that I have ever saw. Some parts of this movie was so disgusting that it will stick in your mind for years. Definitely not a movie to watch with the kids, but it is a We Recommend if there ever was one.

Answer To Trivia

Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek have both enjoyed long, celebrated acting careers. They each have children which have followed in the career footsteps of their parents. (Sutherland has actor sons Kiefer, Rossif and Angus. Spacek has actress daughter Schuyler Fisk.)
The thespians both starred in 1991's JFK opposite Kevin Costner although they did not share screen time.

The legendary actors star together again, this time as husband and wife in An American Haunting -- a re-telling of Tennessee's Bell Witch legend. See this thrilling new film, perfectly timed a week before Halloween, on DVD today.
