It's Carol here to let you know what's new at Video Magic. This week Evan Almighty was released on DVD. If you enjoyed Bruce Almighty then you will surely enjoy Evan Almighty. I give this movie a really big We Recommend. Also available for rental is Surf's Up. The kids will really enjoy this one. If the kiddies enjoyed The Wild and Madagascar then they will enjoy Surf's Up.

Several filmmakers have included God as a character in their films. Perhaps the most interesting casting of God was that of rock singer Alanis Morrisette in Kevin Smith's Dogma (1999).

Other notable God castings include George Burns in the Oh, God! movies of the late '70s and early '80s. LL Cool J starred as the Almighty in In Too Deep, also from 1999. For a list of everyone who's ever taken on the role, see IMDb's character profile for God.

Morgan Freeman plays God once again in Evan Almighty. He provided a valuable lesson to Jim Carrey in 2003's Bruce Almighty. Now He wants Evan (Steve Carrell) to build an ark -- Noah style. See the hilarious comedy Evan Almighty. This movie is now on DVD.
