It's Carol here to let you know what's new at Video Magic.

This week we had several movies come in. I haven't watched all of them but I have listed them below so you will be able to see what is new. I hope your family and friends are all doing well. Everyone here at the Video Magic Home Office are ticking right along. Last week everyone seemed to have colds but we are all doing better now.

Well I guess I had better get back to work. I will e-mail you again next week.

As always I would like to say Thank You for renting your movies and games at Video Magic. Without our loyal customers like you, there would be no Video Magic. You are very much appreciated.

Have a wonderful rest of the week.

The Color Purple

               The Color Purple

I loved this movie. It is a story about a southern black girl's rise from tragedy to personal triumph through the course of her lifetime. The acting in the film is superb, including terrific performances by Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Danny Glover, Margaret Avery, and Adolph Caesar. I give this one a really big We Recommend.

Advice For The Week

A hug a day will keep loneliness away. Grab someone up and give them a big bear hug. It will make their day and it will make you feel loved.

P.S. Make sure you're not at work when you do this. You might get fired for sexual harassment.

Trivia Answer

Answer To Trivia

The redheaded telepath/telekinetic known as mostly 'Jean Grey' (the Famke Janssen role) in the recent X-Men movies, went by another, superhero name in the comic's early days. She was known as 'Marvel Girl.'

Marvel Girl became known as Phoenix in the late '70s. Her character would then be the focus of perhaps the biggest comic story arc in Marvel Comics history -- at least among X-Men fanboys. Much of this story is retold, in part, in the latest movie, X-Men: The Last Stand.

See what happens of Jean Grey (a.k.a. Marvel Girl, a.k.a. Phoenix) and the rest of the X-Men in the exciting X-Men: The Last Stand. It's now on DVD.
