Answer To Trivia The Cameron Crowe-written Fast Times at Ridgemont High was a hit movie in 1982. Four years later, it was adapted as a TV sitcom for CBS. Courtney Thorn-Smith and Claudia Wells starred as Stacey and Linda, the characters played by Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates in the film, respectively. Teachers Mr. Hand and Mr. Vargas were played Ray Walson and Vincent Schiavelli who also appeared in the movie. The role of the concert ticket-hocking Mike Damone was played by a rising teen star named Patrick Dempsey. Though the TV version didn't last long, Dempsey went on to star in the teen comedies Can't Buy Me Love and Loverboy, among others. Dempsey spent the '90s in mostly supporting roles in movies including JFK: Reckless Youth, With Honors, and Outbreak. In 2005, Dempsey came into his own in a serious role in the popular TV series Grey's Anatomy on ABC. Thanks to his success on TV, Dempsey is once again a marquee name at the movies. His new movie is Made of Honor. He stars as a man who is asked to appear in the titular role at the wedding of his female best friend. Trouble is, while his friend was off getting engaged, he finally realized he was truly in love with her. See Patrick Dempsey, along with Michelle Monaghan and Kevin McKidd, in the romantic comedy Made of Honor. It's new on DVD and Blu-ray.
