It's Carol here again to tell you what's new at Video Magic.

It has been a pretty hard week for me this week. I found out that my stepfathers cancer has come back and that it has gotten into his lymph nodes. I have spent most of the week going from doctor to doctor with him trying to find out what can be done. I know that we need to put it into gods hands so when you sit down tonight to say your prayers, please say one for my stepfather James Hughes. He has been the only father that I have known and he is a wonderful person. I know that god has something special in store for him and I know that prayer can heal anything. Even cancer.

Aurora is still growing like a weed and she is starting to be more alert. She seems to want to eat constantly. The doctor has told us to start giving her some cereal with her formula. She just wasn't happy with the formula.

Well enough about me. There wasn't that many movies that came out this week. I guess it was just a slow week for New Release movies. I guess that was good, because I haven't had much time to watch them.

But I do have some recommendations for this week.

Basic Instinct 2 :If you liked the first one you will probably like this one. I thought that Sharon Stone was trying too hard to be sexy but Greg said that he enjoyed the movie so Greg gives this one a We Recommend.

Munich: If you are looking for a movie that will last you for several hours then this is the one for you. The movie is based on the secret squad that tracks down the 1972 Olympic terrorist. If you are interested in this type of movie then you really need to see this one. Greg also gives this one a We Recommend.

Eight Below: This is such a wonderful family movie. I know that I recommended it a few weeks ago but I thought that if you haven't seen this one, you really do need to take the time to sit down with the family and see it. It will make you cry and feel good at the same time. If you haven't seen Eight Below then you have probably missed the best family movie of the year. My entire family gives this movie a really big We Recommend.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party: We have gotten so many customer request for this movie. If you want some good laughs then you need to rent this one. The Video Magic Customers give this one a We Recommend.

As always, I would like to thank you for renting your movies at Video Magic. Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you should need to contact Greg or Me for any reason, please feel free to give us a call at 423-247-0062 or send us an email to comments@videomagic.com.

Take care and have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

And Thank you so much for including my stepfather in your prayers.

Your Friend at Video Magic.

Trivia Answer

Answer To Trivia

The series of dresses worn by Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone) in 1992's Basic Instinct were designed to exactly match those worn by another blonde, Kim Novak in Vertigo. In fact, the dresses follow in the same order as those Novak wears in Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller. From its similar San Francisco setting to sweeping camera movements, Basic Instinct is one continous homage to Hitchcock by director Paul Verhoeven. Stone was cast, in part, for her resemblence to Novak.

Catherine Tramell is back, this time in England, where she is once again up to her seductive and mysterious ways. Catch the thriller Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction on DVD. It's now available.
