Yes, I always look to see who the director is. (28.2%)


I could care less who is directing the movie. (26.3%)


I usually do not look for the director since I don't recognize most of the names. (25.0%)


I only look to see if it's a big name like Scorsese or Spielberg. (20.5%)

 
Trivia Answer 

Answer To Trivia

It wasn't too long ago that Chicago won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The movie, based on the 1975 musical of the same name, won in 2003. (Previous to Chicago, you have to go back to 1969 and Oliver! for a musical Best Picture.)

Dreamgirls, another movie musical based on a stage production, was a contender at this year's Oscars. The Bill Condon written and directed film won the Golden Globe for Best Picture, Musical or Comedy but failed to be nominated for Oscar's top prize. (Incidentally, Condon also wrote the screenplay for Chicago.)

Despite not being nominated for Best Picture, Dreamgirls did receive 8 Academy Award nominations. Former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson brought home the trophy for Best Supporting Actress. The film also won an Oscar for sound mixing.

Watch Dreamgirls, starring Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, and Eddie Murphy. It's now on DVD.
