Trivia Answer

Answer To Trivia

Scarlett Johansson was just 16 years old when Ghost World was released in the summer of 2001. The Terry Zwigoff-directed film was based on the critically-acclaimed teen comic by Daniel Clowes.

Ghost World is the story of best buds Rebecca and Enid (Thora Birch) in the summer after their high school graduation. This quirky little film has become something of a cult classic. MSN Movies even included it in a list of Top 10 Comic Book Movies.

Johansson takes on another comic book role with The Spirit. She stars as Silken Floss, an accomplice to the evil Octopus played by Samuel L. Jackson. Gabriel Macht stars in the title role of a cop who rises from the dead to fight crime. The film is based on the long-running comic created by Will Eisner in 1940.

See Johansson, along with Eva Mendes, Paz Vega, and Sarah Paulson, in the action film from visionary comic book artist/writer turned film director Frank Miller (Sin City, 300). The Spirit is new on DVD and Blu-ray.
